A note also. If this was a real match, and they just left without finishing it, they would recieve a forfeit loss for that map. If anyone suspects something, finish the match, then review your demos and record the times you are suspicious of, then dispute the match. It is very important you take the time to provide us with times to look at, as we will otherwise ignore the dispute.

I encourage golden to upload a demo or two from that, as a show of good sportsmanship. Then the team that rage quit can view your demos and be satisfied, and probably respect you more.

I don't know exactly what happened in this match, but a lot of times what can happen is that in north american urban terror, usually when you play a team you've never heard of, that team sucks - because new teams are never all that good. So when they are, it feels suspicious. And sometimes an established clan from elsewhere can be mistaken for a nub clan, since nobody has heard of them.

We should submit a couple of demos in show of good sportsmanship? In all seriousness, they were disrespectful towards us, accused our entire team of hacking and left in the middle of a match. I'm not speaking for the whole team here as it is not my place but I for one will not upload any demo if they aren't being requested officially. Furthermore, the only action of good sportsmanship that should be taking place here is an apology from fn2 about their lame behaviour.

from what I picked up after reading the post-match argument between |fn|GoldSnake and someone golden, fn thought golden was walling and ragequit then demanded that golden post their demos to fn clan forums. I specifically informed |fn|GoldSnake if he wishes to see demos he must file a dispute with an admin and have the admin team request a demo.

jpx, much of this has to do with NA ignorance towards Euro Clans. If and when you prove your players clean, the attack will be towards preventing euro clans from participation in the league.

Honestly my feeling towards your clan is that: the majority of your players are Euro, so you should play in euro leagues and not trouble NA ones with your ping. I assume others feel the same. Now that is in no way a personal attack, but NA people like to see who is the bestest amongst NA only so that the Euros don't interrupt. Of course you need to understand that you coming here is going to cause issues to begin with amongst immature players.

I do agree with blud, showing a demo is good sportsmanship. But you are not required to do so until the league begins.

Eventually I hope and forsee that FTW will be divided up into regions such as SA, NA, and EU (and possibly Asia) to prevent disputes over ping and etc. (FTW World League) And hopefully the winners of each division would play in some sort of Ladder in which everyone plays everyone and the two teams with the most wins play for the title. Each division winner would recieve the "FTW champion title" but only 1 could be crowned "FTW world champion."

I've sat out of this stupid argument with my palm on my face for long enough. I've read the logs and honestly they're disgusting. I wasn't a part of the situation and I think my clanmantes handled it poorly. Still, your clanmates were far from gentlemen.

Yeah, a guy on my clan's JV called you a hack, big fucking deal. Your "superstar" members acted like immature assholes and mocked them relentlessly for their suspicion of your skill. What is so complicated? You destroyed a team significantly below your skill level, mocked them, and big surprise: they didn't want to play a second map. That is just how it works.

Now you want to make a big deal about it and balk at providing a demo that might actually smooth over the situation. You don't feel like being sportsmanlike and providing a demo, fine. Just understand that these actions appear to me (and possibly others like the actions of a troll).

You would upload a demo to show sportsmanship to look awesome. If I as a bystander heard that some clan dissed another clan for cheating and asked for demos, and then I heard that the other clan gave demos and then the accusing clan all of a sudden shut up, I'd be like "lol they showed them".

I'm sure you will give demos when required. I wasn't casting any doubt on that. I wasn't suggesting you should provide a demo in the middle of a game, I was talking about doing it after the fact. I don't think you have to provide a demo to play a second map either. I agree players should ask politely and not attack players.

Also, players and teams should try as hard as they can not to retaliate if their opponents start acting annoying. Otherwise all it looks like from the outside is 2 clans being equally annoying towards each other.

As I mentioned, at whatever point everything gets all set, your team (and all teams) will have to submit 1 demo per match, even if the other team didn't ask, and even if the admins don't ask. And you will also have to submit a demo of up to 1 specific player that the enemy asks for (but the enemy cannot ask for demos from multiple players). One of the purposes is so that the admins don't have to look at a hundred demos, because more often than not, when the enemy looks at the demo they will see that it doesn't show cheating, and they won't be able to pass it on to the admins who require stuff like specific time codes of "suspicious stuff".

Many demo viewings and demo requests are not going to result in cheat accusations. In fact most of the time people are probably just going to ask for demos to sit there and be impressed by the awesomeness of the enemy team's top player. But if a team requests a demo and watches it and still thinks the enemy is cheating, then they can take it to the admins, and THEN the league will review the demo, but only if the team provides time codes. In this way, frivolous accusations will go away, and the demos the league actually takes the time to review will be worth reviewing.

Eventually the league hopes to have a demo depot where all players can upload all their match demos for bragging rights or just for fun. Way down the line I even have an idea for a 24/7 online tv channel that would show the latest demos (but I don't really see that happening till some future season).

Yeah, well that argument is obviously dumb, and it's their problem. But just because I suggested a way that your team could be even more sportsmanlike than it was already showing, does not mean that I was saying your opponent was showing good sportsmanship. Egos aside as blud stated, the best way is to post the demo and move on. Holding back the demo will only make yourself look worse.

Preseason is just for fun, obviously my guys were not having fun so they bailed... giving you the win, so whats the big deal?(lame yes i know, but surely this isnt the first time someone has ragedquit on you?) anyway, I've watched a couple of their demos and i've come to the conclusion that most of what they experienced was skill/lag related stuff. If you never play people with 200 pings, yet alone really good players you are obviously going to think foul play. I know its immature, but it was a learning experience for everyone, for fn2 it showed them that there is serious skill in the euro world and that they need to get used to playing high ping players. For golden, perhaps they should get a better P.R guy than jpx, (he is a lil rough around the edges) and that even CHAMPIONS need to show some class.

untrue.. if you lead your shots that is why you are missing. you shoot where you see them and the unlagged code does the rest. the game was modified to stop people having to lead their shots way back. This was to stop people delibratly making their ping higher. Low ping has the advantage due to actually seeing the enemy first. Low ping is always better.

Our guys got upset and acted like nubs and you guys acted like raging assholes. I didnt know anything about golden until this point and time, but after seeing you guys, im not a big fan. Preseason is just for fun, obviously my guys were not having fun so they bailed... giving you the win, so whats the big deal?(lame yes i know, but surely this isnt the first time someone has ragedquit on you?) anyway, I've watched a couple of their demos and i've come to the conclusion that most of what they experienced was skill/lag related stuff. If you never play people with 200 pings, yet alone really good players you are obviously going to think foul play. I know its immature, but it was a learning experience for everyone, for fn2 it showed them that there is serious skill in the euro world and that they need to get used to playing high ping players. For golden, perhaps they should get a better P.R guy than jpx, (he is a lil rough around the edges) and that even CHAMPIONS need to show some class.

eh if they played with 200pings and you guys played with low pings, you guys had so much advantage over these euros and still got handled. Not trying to be rude or anything but this brings up the topic we discussed on how euros would rape us and you will be in for a rude awakening. Just saying.

untrue.. if you lead your shots that is why you are missing. you shoot where you see them and the unlagged code does the rest. the game was modified to stop people having to lead their shots way back. This was to stop people delibratly making their ping higher. Low ping has the advantage due to actually seeing the enemy first. Low ping is always better.

If that's true, the code needs some serious work. I can't count how many times I get a dead-aim SR8 shot or even dead aim assault rifle shot(s) that just hit nothing but air on a high pinger. It does happen on some low pingers too, but it is MUCH less frequent.

I've asked the question of pings and unlagged code several times on the URT forums. if your aim is on the unlagged code will put the hit in for you. (the unlagged code favours the low ping due to the quicker responce of the code to put the hit in. So your unlagged hits will hit before high pings unlagged hits) if it doesnt you've missed or can blame hits but not the persons ping. This is also why you can die from bullets after you have killed someone as their hits are catching up but they are legit hits.

Untill you play comp on a low ping and a high ping you cant really appreciate how much harder it is to play with a high ping. I'd kill to play on 50 ping in the US. I just prefer the style of play in the Na leagues and my clan is mainly NA or i would choose to play Euro

Also running away with a high ping 'drags' your hit box making it much easier to get hit by anything but specifically Nades and knives. I can't count howmany times i've run clear away from a nade only for it to kill me. Low pings wont run into that as much although still occasionally.
