eVo's Chicago Bomb

After adding the Competition Maps from FTW last season to our Bomb server rotation, we have recently re-vamped again and dropped several of them. FPS issues and popularity were issues.

Please come give it a whirl and see what you think. We encourage comments and suggestions -- hit me up or post back to this thread, whatever works for you.

map cycle is back to what it used to be, i think with maybe one addition like elgin.

Used to love the server than it changed and I couldn't get a game there to save my life.

That and you had the wrong version of orbital. it's ut4_orbital_sl.pk3 not ut4_orbital.pk3 (AKA rc1).

We left a few of the FTW maps in there but took out the fps problem ones. Traffic on bomb servers in general has been spotty ever since before the Christmas holiday. It's starting to pick up a bit.

The version of orbital we're running is ut4_orbital.pk3

If ya'll want the other version on there, we can arrange that.

is there a big diff betwixt the two versions? I haven't actually played the non-sl version.....
and spooky, i sometime have a problem connecting to evo servers. for example, they would show up on my favorites list as just ip's w/o a ping, but after mutiple refreshes, it might come up. but then other times, i would connect, and it would give me this low pings only bs. i ping like 80 max on evo servs

Are you looking at them through qtracker or some other game browser? I've had that issue with a lot of servers on and off using qtracker.

The only server we have a max ping set for is bomb i believe. The Low ping mesg happens to me once in a while but if I drop console and /reconnect i get right in.

and its like almost every time i have to /reconnect now. back when i used fios it was fine, but now the crappy att adsfail is screwing me?

should definately hand out rcon and/or ref passes out to more people because a lot of the time you get like 4 friends who act like complete fuck tards and ruin the server and stops people from wanting to join it, like myself soon as a see a bunch of little kids talkings about vaginas i just /quit because i can't kick them i'm sure i'm not the only one.

So, why aren't you letting us know this when it happens? We have a fat alert button on our front page just for that kinda crap.

We've been playing there late afternoons and evenings with no issues... if you see that crap happening, come find us and we'll kick their collective asses.
