It might sound confusing but think of it this way... its best 2 out of three not 1.5 out of three , and since there is no map tie breaker it might have to go to 3rd round.

The rules might need a change.. what if team A wins 1st match , team B wins 2nd map and they tie on the 3rd map?? who wins?

I didn't think it was best out of three. The 3rd map was only introduced to break ties. In tonights case we had 1.5 map points and they had .5 points after two maps. So no need for a 3rd map. But that was/is the way we interpreted the rules. Kind of a new situation for everyone.

i thought it was red side rounds to determine who wins the map then its best of 3 maps to determine who wins the match.

Actually it was handled correctly... Tie break would occur only if the match (2 maps) ended in a tie (i.e both teams get the same number of points, which can occur if each team wins one map or if they tie both maps). In this case VeX had more points than wTF at the end of 2 maps therefore they won in 2.

bomb mode needs to be totally redone... The current rule set and 2 different map thing is for the lack of a better word, stupid. It ruins the BM experience and makes it to easy to "Tie" Its the only system where a team can win 3 out of 4 maps and still tie... Anyways ill rant about it in the proper channels.

the dates offered for reschedule didn't work for the overwhelming majority of our active BM team

sim had a 999 issue for 1 round on casa which led to a timeout/reconnect...without an explanation I can only imagine that him going spec half way through map 1 on orbital for a couple rounds was a similar issue

On another note for scores, I think fn got 10 wins in 4 rounds. Dunno what we had, it was pretty much a beating.

Yes it is possible. If the tiebreaker is a tie, then the team with the most overall Red points wins. If that is a tie then there will be a sudden death monitored by an admin.
